Il réunit le scénario du film ainsi que, sous forme d'un dictionnaire, des souvenirs et des réflexions sur l'écriture, la création, le cinéma, ses relations avec les acteurs et l'équipe de tournage, etc.
Un making of d'un genre particulier... qui se lit comme un roman et dévoile aussi bien l'artiste que l'homme.
