Ce catalogue déraisonné est né d'une exposition réalisée par Olivier Smolders autour de ses films, de ses écrits, de son univers, à l'invitation du Vecteur, plateforme artistique pluridisciplinaire établie à Charleroi. Sorte de caverne d'Ali Baba, l'exposition, à laquelle Quentin Smolders a apporté sa précieuse collaboration, entrecroise les thèmes favoris du cabinet de curiosité baroque et du Voyage autour de ma chambre. Différents textes inédits ou rares sont venus compléter cette lumière noire jetée de biais sur une œuvre à la fois ludique et inquiétante.
