What does contemporary cinema think of a world in which reality appears closer to fiction, and where the (alleged) truth by image is subject to the crudest of manipulations ? On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Cinéma du Réel festival, more than thirty international filmmakers and critics answer the question : “What is real ?”
