La traque des étudiants se poursuivait boulevard Saint-Germain et rue Saint-Jacques. Des groupes de jeunes, garçons et filles mélangés, se battaient à mains nues contre les matraques des policiers, d'autres lançaient différents objets ramassés sur les trottoirs. Parfois, des fumées m'empêchaient de distinguer qui attaquait qui. Nous apprendrions plus tard qu'il s'agissait de gaz lacrymogènes. Le téléphone sonna. C'était Jean-Luc, très inquiet, qui craignait que je n'aie pas eu le temps de regagner notre appartement. "Ecoute Europe numéro 1, ça barde au Quartier latin !"Nous étions le 3 mai 1968.
