About the Author:
Raphaël Millet a enseigné le cinéma à l'Université Paris III Sorbonne-Nouvelle ainsi qu'à l'Ecole supérieure d'études cinématographiques (ESEC-AIA), à Paris. Il a aussi abordé de nombreux sujets ayant trait aux cinémas français, africains, méditerranéens, moyen-orientaux et asiatiques dans des livres, articles et conférences depuis le milieu des années 1990, écrivant pour des revues telles que Positif, Trafic, Cinémathèque, Simulacres, Qantara et BiblioAsia.
Il a également publié différents ouvrages tels que Cinémas de la Méditerranée, cinémas de la mélancolie (L'Harmattan, 2002), Le Cinéma de Singapour (L'Harmattan, 2004) et Singapore Cinema (EDM, 2006).
