Musidora (1889-1957), fut une figure mythique du 20e siècle, active dans tous les domaines de la création, elle fut actrice au cinéma, chanteuse et danseuse de music-hall, écrivaine de romans, de poésie et de théâtre, ou encore dessinatrice... Musidora est la première vamp de l'histoire du cinéma, l'une des premières réalisatrices au monde, la dixième muse sacrée par les surréalistes, une grande amie de Colette avec qui elle a entretenu une correspondance pendant 45 ans et une des premières collaboratrices de la Cinémathèque française.
