Star Trek : Autobiographie de Jean-Luc Picard raconte l’histoire d’un des capitaines les plus emblématiques de la franchise Star Trek. Dans cet univers, il est l’un des membres les plus admirés de l’histoire de Starfleet. Sa vie et sa carrière extraordinaires sont une lecture fascinante : cours martiales, amours éconduites, capture et torture aux mains des Cardassiens, assimilation par les Borgs et tant d’autres rencontres rendent inoubliable l’histoire de Jean-Luc Picard.
Les extraits de sa correspondance privée et de son journal de capitaine apportent à la narration de Picard une profondeur supplémentaire. Une section en couleurs de huit pages rappelle certains moments clés de sa carrière et de ses relations.
On peut sans exagérer affirmer que le capitaine Jean-Luc Picard est l’un des hommes les plus importants de son époque. Explorateur et diplomate, ses exploits notamment à bord du vaisseau Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) lui valent une place permanente dans l’histoire de la galaxie. Aujourd’hui à la retraite, il a compilé ces mémoires avec l’historien David A. Goodman de Memory Alpha (représenté ici avec le capitaine Picard à bord de l’U.S.S. Galaxy).
