L'explosion audio-visuelle qui caractérise la culture contemporaine engage la critique universitaire à jeter des ponts entre des modes de discours qui, loin d'être antagonistes, restent complémentaires. Scénaristes et réalisateurs tissent des rapports avec l'œuvre littéraire initiale qui se voit ainsi transfigurée, voire altérée et parfois trahie.
