Le projet de ce numéro, – quant à son coordinateur – remonte aux années 50 lorsque confrontant l’image que donnaient des années 20 les programmes des Ciné-Clubs et de la Cinémathèque française et celle que donnaient les revues de l’époque ou les souvenirs des réalisateurs j’y trouvais matière à m’interroger sur une sorte de divorce culturel flagrant : quelle qu’ait pu être l’importance de Delluc, Epstein, Gance ou L’Herbier, ils n’étaient pas seuls et il convenait peut-être d’aller voir de plus près…
