Alejandro Jodorowsky est aujourd'hui connu pour ses films (La Montagne sacrée, El topo, …) ou encore pour ses tirages de tarot —art auquel on l'associe volontiers— mais beaucoup moins pour sa poésie. Cet ouvrage propose d'explorer le discours poétique du Chilien et d'analyser quelques poèmes de son anthologie Poesía sin fin tout en parcourant sa vie depuis sa jeunesse au Chili dans les années 1940-1950 jusqu'à son installation à Paris. Cet itinéraire biographique et poétique nous permettra d'appréhender les vastes inspirations de l'auteur —on pense au bouddhisme, au taoïsme ou encore au surréalisme— et d'évoquer les nombreuses rencontres qui conduisent l'artiste à écrire et créer sa poésie tout au long de sa vie. Nous évoquerons notamment l'importance de figures comme Stella Díaz Varín, Enrique Lihn ou encore Fernando Arrabal dans son parcours personnel et son cheminement lyrique.
