Qui es-tu, Hedy Lamarr ? Star oubliée des années 40-50, "plus belle femme du monde", inventrice géniale du Wi-Fi. Qui es-tu, Hedy Lamarr ? Cette question, le narrateur de ce roman se la pose dès que sa sœur, haïe et adorée, mentionne ce nom. Et il se la pose encore quand il se lance à la recherche des origines de Hedy, ou plutôt d'Eva, le prénom qui était le sien en Autriche, où elle est née en 1914. Et que portait aussi la jeune protagoniste d'Extase, le film de 1933 où elle apparaissait entièrement nue, et qui lui colla à la peau. Que sait-on jamais d'Eve ? Que sait-on jamais de Hedy Lamarr ? En entraînant le lecteur dans cette quête, ce roman d'un amoureux fou remonte aux origines du mythe et s'interroge sur la place des femmes de génie dans l'Histoire, ces femmes qui dérangent, et sur l'interdiction qui est faite à Eve d'accéder à l'arbre de la connaissance...
About the Author:
Alessandro Barbaglia, écrivain et libraire, est né en 1980 à Borgomanero et vit à Novara. Après quatre romans remarqués, dont le dernier a remporté le prix Strega pour la jeunesse, il publie Le Coup du fou, où il évoque l’étrange vie de Bobby Fischer, génie des échecs. Aujourd’hui il raconte Hedy Lamarr, star « hors normes », trop douée pour s’inscrire dans une vie ordinaire.
