La cinémathèque française a rendu hommage à Marcel Pavart (1902-1972). Dans le sillage de cette reconnaissance tardive, voici la première biographie du cinéaste des formes, si l’on excepte bien sûr l’étude que l’universitaire américain Sotkovsky publia en 1978.
Mehdi Boucher signe un portrait intrigant de celui qui le fut tout autant qui eut deux obsessions : le cercle et le carré.
