Au cœur du récit, le "renoncement" devient un choix de liberté: quitter la scène, la vie publique, voire le mythe. Un entretien intégral avec la petite-nièce de Garbo complète ce portrait, sans sensationnalisme : derrière la légende, une femme, une décision, une énigme.
