L'hypothèse défendue à travers ce livre est qu'une certaine tendance du cinéma américain contemporain se définit à travers le montage de trois jeunes auteurs: Sofia Coppola, Darren Aronofsky et Steven Soderbergh. Trois réalisateurs qui utilisent le montage de manière novatrice; trois réalisateurs qui donnent à l'image, chacun à leur façon, un rôle divergent et audacieux; trois réalisateurs qui pourraient incarner, par leurs films, le cinéma américain d'aujourd'hui.
About the Author:
Rémi Pietka est né le 19 avril 1980. Après un BAC scientifique, il poursuit des études de cinéma à Amiens puis Paris 8, durant lesquelles il écrira ce livre. Après un DESS en production et réalisation de documentaires à Strasbourg, il rejoint la société de production ONIRIM (www.onirim.com), dont il est aujourd'hui directeur associé.
