Les films analysés abordent la colonisation des continents africain et américain (Man to man, Alba de América), les guerres, l'opression des dominants et la haine de l'ennemi intérieur ou extérieur (Bruegel, Capitaine Alatriste, les quatre cavaliers de l'Apocalypse ainsi que des films de propagande nazie), l'incompréhension sous toutes ses formes.
