Un photographe qui agit à contre-courant des règles établies, c'est William Klein. Peintre, cinéaste, graphiste, photographe de mode, il dérange les habitudes, par son penchant boulimique à communiquer dans le face-à-face et à enregistrer le désordre naturel. Loin des définitions toutes faites, il se joue du bougé et des personnages tronqués. Pour "tout fourrer dans une seule image", à cet "instant de transe" où le chaos se transmet sans pudeur, Klein est l'homme du "pourquoi pas ?"
