Book Presentation:
Photographe, peintre et cinéaste, Paolo Gioli (1942) a réalisé plus de 30 films de 1969 à nos jours. Adepte d'une pratique autarcique du cinéma, Gioli fait aujourd'hui figure de précurseur des pratiques contemporaines de recyclage d'images. Dans ses œuvres, il revisite aussi bien le portrait, le nu ou les films classiques que les images pré-technologiques (Marey, Muybridge, etc.), les images médiatiques (Marylin) ou de consommation (images pornographiques). Ce recueil d'écrits sur le cinéma est accompagné d'un texte de Sirio Luginbühl et d'une filmographie complète.
