Soumise à son destin de flashes, de star et de bête curieuse, mais plus soumise encore à son instinct d'animal femelle parfaitement libre de son sang et de ses impulsions, telle était Brigitte Bardot. C'est alors qu'on tenta de lui imposer des devoirs. Ayant tous les droits païens : choisir, apprécier, aimer, quitter. On tenta de lui imposer des devoirs chrétiens : "travailler, épouser, aimer son métier, élever, etc." Elle ne s'y trompa pas, elle refusa. Elle prit les droits naturels de sa beauté, de sa nature, et refusa les faux devoirs avec une belle énergie de guéparde. On la dota d'hommes qu'elle rejeta un jour, de rôles qu'elle se borna à interpréter, de malaises qu'elle se refusa à ressentir ouvertement.
