Il a tout eu. Vraiment tout : les femmes, l'argent, la gloire, la beauté - une beauté incroyable, divine, irréelle. Il a été la star des stars, le plus grand acteur du monde, s'est acheté un paradis en plein océan. Il aurait pu être heureux. Mais, malgré sa renommée, il a choisi la route du malheur et a mené une existence sombre, marquée par des relations destructrices et des tragédies familiales. Dans la vie de Marlon Brando, il n'y a que du noir. Ce livre n'est pas une biographie, surtout pas. C'est le récit de la fabrication d'un monstre. Mais un si beau monstre... François Forestier, journaliste, est l'auteur d'une douzaine d'ouvrages, notamment Rue des rats (Rivages/Noir, 2005, Prix du Salon du Polar), Marylin et JFK (Albin Michel, 2008, Prix de Deauville), JFK : le dernier jour (Albin Michel, 2014). Son dernier livre, Les Injusticiers (Grasset, 2023), est une évocation la Liste Noire des années McCarthy.
