Berlin, avril 1945. Hitler se terre dans son bunker. Les nazis s’accrochent à leur illusion de toute-puissance. Pour conserver ce mirage, l’entourage de Hitler tente de le rassurer... en fêtant son anniversaire. Goebbels trouve le cadeau idéal : l'horoscope du Führer.
Mais la personne chargée de faire établir ce document oublie la date de naissance du dirigeant nazi. Un écart de quatre jours peut faire basculer l’Histoire : Hitler est né le 20 avril 1889, mais la date donnée, le 16 avril de la même année, est celle de la naissance de Charlie Chaplin. Cette coïncidence astrologique sera à l’origine d'événements incongrus et grotesques, et mènera à leur inévitable défaite.

Gerard Guix est un auteur catalan de fiction, théâtre et littérature jeunesse. Il a été lauréat du prix Butaca 2023, dans la catégorie "meilleur texte", avec sa pièce multiprimée Dirrrty Boys. Son roman jeunesse Un far a la fi del món (Un phare au bout du monde) a été lauréat du prix Joaquim Ruyra 2022. Il habite à Barcelone, Doppelgänger est son cinquième roman.
