À travers les récits labyrinthiques de Lynch se révèlent avec une force proprement extraordinaire des aspects jusqualors inconnus. Au cours de ses entretiens avec Chris Rodley, David Lynch parle librement de ses films - de ceux dont il est fier comme de ceux quil considère comme des échecs - et aussi de ses autres activités : la peinture et la photographie, quil pratique avec passion, son travail pour la télévision, la publicité et le spectacle vivant et ses nombreuses collaborations musicales avec Julee Cruise et Angelo Badalamenti.
