John Boorman, cinéaste légendaire, lauréat de deux prix de la mise en scène

de Wicklow, en Irlande, où il réside avec sa fille et son fils. À 88 ans, John Boorman n’a rien perdu de sa fascination pour les arbres majestueux, les rivières, les fleurs, les vallées luxuriantes. Il nous communique son éblouissement et ses méditations sur une vie paisible en accord avec la nature. Accompagné par les illustrations de Susan Morley, ces contemplations rencontrent de nombreux échos avec son œuvre cinématographique, de Délivrance à La Forêt d’émeraude.
Cette parution fait suite aux publications, chez Marest, des mémoires de
John Boorman, Aventures, de son premier roman, Tapis écarlate, et de la
monographie que lui a consacré Michel Ciment, Boorman, un visionnaire
en son temps.
