Book Presentation:
La collection de Enrico Praloran se compose de photographies de plateau et d’images promotionnelles tirées du film Freaks, réalisé en 1932 par le cinéaste américain Tod Browning. Le film raconte l’histoire de Hans (Harry Earles), un «nain» de cirque, qui délaisse sa fiancée Frieda (Daisy Earles) pour une «grande femme», la très voluptueuse trapéziste Cléopâtre, dit Cléo (Olga Baclonova). Apprenant que Hans a hérité d’une fortune, Cléo conspire alors avec son amant Hercule (Henry Victor), le colosse du cirque, pour épouser Hans en vue de l’empoisonner, et ainsi hériter de sa fortune...
