Alors que les affichistes de Bollywood réalisent un nombre époustouflant dœuvres peintes, ces créations éphémères sont bien souvent diffusées sous des formes très inégales, via des copies médiocres ou des affiches "recréées" pour les besoins d une reprise. Bollywood: l art de l affiche retrace l histoire de cet art et en présente les images dans leur splendeur originelle affiches méconnues, images rarement publiées de publicités urbaines et de décorations de façades de cinéma. Les auteurs évoquent en détail le travail des plus grands affichistes, dans cet ouvrage qui constitue le premier panorama complet d un genre artistique jusqu ici négligé et sous-estimé.
